Baylor hands out five additional single-digit numbers
On Tuesday morning the Baylor athletic website updated their official roster to reflect an additional five players who had received single-digit numbers to wear during the 2017 season.
Baylor players selected to wear single-digit numbers were voted on by their teammates based on a variety of categories including toughness and being a good teammate on and off the field.
Previously, seniors Taylor Young (#1), Taion Sells (#2) and Brian Nance (#5) were announced as recipients as the first three to be selected.
The following were given their numbers on Tuesday:
#3 — Chris Miller, Safety, Sophomore
#4 — Grayland Arnold, Cornerback, Sophomore
#6 — Trevor White, Wide Receiver, Junior
#7 — John Lovett, Running Back, Freshman
#9 — Ira Lewis, Defensive Lineman, Junior
The only single-digit number still available is the No. 8 jersey which could be given out to the starting quarterback when Matt Rhule officially makes the decision.
