Sources: The Big 12’s presidents and chancellors voted unanimously Wednesday night on a conference call to accept Colorado as a new member. Colorado still has not formally applied for Big 12 membership, which is expected to happen tomorrow.

I don’t often comment on the speculation … but this has to be Oregon. https://t.co/IlSaAmOE0J

Sun Devils, eastern Huskies, and Utes probably paying close attention to Seattle, Eugene, and Tucson now. https://t.co/nPPzUOlEVA

As someone else mentioned what media outlets are going to sign a deal with a 9 school conference and who is going to join a 9 school conference. Before someone says well the XII got down to 8 and was able to add, the XII still had a TV contract that wasn't 12 months from expiring.

Pretty interesting they voted before they applied
BREAKING: I just spoke to a very trusted source who tells me Arizona is “on the move”. No exact timeline laid out yet, but Arizona to the Big 12 is in the works.

Colorado returning to Big 12, starting in 2024, sources told @ActionNetworkHQ. After 12 seasons in Pac-12, Buffaloes – and Ralphie – run back to become 13th school in Big 12, where they were members from 1948-2010. Official announcement later todayhttps://t.co/IOo8LWB2Jd pic.twitter.com/R5KUsZbMZG

Don't be surprised if the Big 12 gives another deadline out for a school like Arizona.

What does CO add to the conference? Anyone know why they are the first from the PAC-12?
Boy, a few years ago who'd of thought we'd be in the stable conference? And now we have the benefit of not having to put up with UT!

Curious. The rumored additional school was supposed to be outside the 4 corners, likely meaning one of the 4 from Washington or Oregon. This could mean WSU or OSU. Also, it's a rumor so might be nothing.
adds another late night window for espn as well.Johnny Bear said:jdrs said:

Flagship state school for granted a low population state, but still the flagship school for CO, and more importantly should add eyeballs in the Denver market - which is noting to sneeze at. As far as why they're first, my guess is in addition to the growing and lingering instability of the PAC, CU has obvious prior history with the Big12 and can have an opportunity to get back into the fertile Texas recruiting grounds.
Getting rid of UT and stabilizing the conference at the same time is a dream come true.jdrs said:
