Flame away but the football team is now a giant money sink. If you combine the loss in lawsuits, reputation, the cost of the stadium and the eventual boot out of the P5 that will come. We might have had a chance at a spot in another P5 that is absolutely gone now. This might be the death keel for Baylor to the next level. Thank the BOR.
You are 100% correct. Several players should have been kicked off but that is it. A coach can't be a babysitter for 100 players. The players have an opportunity. If they blow it, they should be gone. The BOI made bad decision after bad decision. Now we are where we are and it looks similar to what we saw with Kevin Steele.
Problem is when the coach knows the players have done something and turns a blind eye to criminal allegations, he's culpable.

If you don't want to get caught, you make sure coach truly doesn't know a thing about what you do off the field, because Briles' texts made it loud an clear he had lieutenants "handle" issues internally instead of reporting them properly.
you have proof that Briles knew they were doing criminal things and ignored it?

where is it?
Google his text messages, or get off the internet if you're actually not going to use it constructively.

Does google have the entire conversation screen shoted from his phone?
Lulz at the absurdity of your lot, I'd love to see you try your arguments in a legal forum.

We didn't have much of a choice.

Even if his job might have been saved in some circumstances, and it isn't clear whether that was even possible (or desirable), the crisis communication fiasco in the aftermath of the Sam Ukuwachu trial made that impossible.

One loss does not destroy a program. These guys are tough, they will bounce back. The coaches are smart, they will adjust. The same team that brought us TCU last year also brought us Boise State. The football team is not a money sink. Financially, the lawsuits are a minor annoyance. They are not a existential threat. The NCAA may come down with something at some point, and that could set us back, but I don't expect the death penalty.

I've got some pretty embarrassing text messages from your phone milli . Tread lightly or I'll tell everyone on here what they say. I won't post the whole conversation but I'll post a few key words and phrases so that everyone here can figure out for themselves what they mean.

Don't have time to delete every single post that is getting flagged here so I'm locking thread. Please disagree with each other with civility. If you can't be civil, we will have to ban.
