I don't know. But the offense is usually better in the second half. I expect it will be this week as well. I also suspect it won't be enough to avoid yet another home loss.FLBear5630 said:Do we have a rhythm to find? I would like to get a Person over Player lower back tattoo. Would that be too homo?
This is objectively false. Our defense has been worse than our offense by every metric.DancinBear09 said:bear2be2 said:I think the offense will actually find a rhythm in the second half. But by then, the defense will have returned to our usual level.True Grit said:

Doubtful. As bad as our defense can be, our offense is pathetically worse. I don't know why you have any faith whatsoever in our offense. Shappen sucks, our WRs are lazy route runners, and our O Line is the worst in the conference by a wide, wide margin.

We need to face facts. This program isn't a new coordinator away from being good. We're lightyears away. That starts at the top.Stefano DiMera said:
Not sure any OC will come here basically on a 1 yr contract with a lame duck coach..need more time to install and recruit to your offense.
Larry Fedora may be available but that's about it
Mack will have time, since no one is giving him a dime. He can call plays.Stefano DiMera said:

#Baylor HC Scott Drew said the advantage of scrimmages over exhibitions is that you get to slow it down and work on a lot of different things.

This. We are woefully weak on both sides of the line.DanaDane said:
Aranda may get rid of Grimes and reassign Powledge, but I'm not sure anything matters if he doesn't start with the S&C coach. Even UCF, UC and UH are more physical than us with a roster of largely G5 recruits.

Our offense sucks because our O-line is incompetent. Our defense is the worse of the two units.
Our offense entered this week ranked 77th in offensive FEI. That's really bad. Our defense was 89th. That's worse.DancinBear09 said:bear2be2 said:This is objectively false. Offensive Ranking: 14
Defensive Ranking: 13
We are splitting hairs because both are pathetically bad, however, I'd venture to bet Baylor has played more defensive snaps than any team in the conference bc the offense is so terrible. It's had to play defense when you are gassed from being on the field 65-70% of the game.
