The bowl games are fun to watch. The majority of teams, players and coaches care about them. To say otherwise is stupid and is based off the small percentage of players that sit out for the draft. But the vast majority of players play in the game as one more chance to show their skills. Just like the senior bowl or other senior games for bubble draft kids.
But I do like that we are finally getting a bigger playoff.
I do agree it should be only 6-6 teams or better. But understand sometimes a 5-7 makes it because there aren't enough 6-6 teams.
The games belong in December as a bonus for performing well. Not a random non con game in September. Fans don't go to some of them because of the costs. Reduce the costs or make them more local and not a big 12 team playing California, New York, or other destination not close to the school.
