I love mims. He came on the tail end of our 'WRU' era and was basically, "the guy" for Charlie.

It was more than obvious during our Sugar Bowl run 2 years later, that we didn't have anyone nearly as good lining up at WR anymore.

Getting cut in mid-June must be due to an off-the-field issue, right? Or perhaps he had an exceptionally poor performance during mini camp? It's baffling how someone could get fired on their day off. What could have possibly gone wrong to lead to such an unexpected decision at this time of year?

No. It could be lack of progress (running wrong routes, etc) weight, attitude, etc. doesn't have to be off the field.

I believe Jacksonville is going to pick him up.

Guess you have to go back a few years, but Del Shofner played with Rams from 57-60 and NY Giants from 61-67..played both sides of the ball..and was in Pro Bowl 5 times...
