I agree. But Aranda has made giant unforced errors before. If he starts Finn on Saturday, he deserves whatever heat comes his way.

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Finn for a play or two here or there. But Sawyer has earned the chance to lead this team with his play on the field.

I hope Sawyer gets the nod going forward. He throws on time and on target with some anticipation. Which happened to open up the run game…imagine that! I don't even want Finn coming in for any type of packages. He is more likely to throw the ball in the ground or the other team. Wouldn't even want him as a 3rd down or goal line QB.

The fact that we apparently gave him six figures to be our starter for two non-conference games…..just astonishing. That money should have to come out of Dave's or Mack's pocket if they decide to keep Dave after this year.

On paper, I think he probably was about the best quarterback we could get within our budget, but hindsight being 20/20, we probably should've used the money somewhere else and found another RJ Martinez somewhere for cheap

Everyone is forgetting that Sawyer was a Mike Leach recruit. That in itself should tell ANY coach that the kid has some skills and it's not to run the ball as a QB.

With that said, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Dave starts Finn. He has a history of poorly managing the QB position.

How many times have we said 'if Dave does this, he needs to be fired' and then he did that thing. He's crossed several of these invisible lines in the sand already. If he starts Finn, we will get destroyed, and there will be folks on here that make excuses for Dave as always. For the record, I think there's probably a 90% chance that Robertson starts and Dave is just trying to keep them guessing as they really are two very different styles of quarterback, as well as having the added benefit of giving a convenient excuse for why the high dollar transfer isn't working out and allowing everybody to save face, including Finn. Ie he's not starting because he's a liability as a passer, there's an injury to his throwing arm
