If SMU wins, TCU loses.

As good as Utah's defense is, they have a really pedestrian offense. They'll lose a game or two they shouldn't because of it IMO.

Watching OSu struggled against Utah at home makes me feel a little better about our game in Utah week 2.

Could be, but that's a freshman quarterback doing a competent job. In Stillwater.

I'm watching this game because I want to support the Big 12 in the battle of viewership against other conferences but I gotta be honest. Big 12 football is not very exciting to watch.

There are a lot of things that have happened this week that should make us feel better.

Nebraska, which dominated Colorado defensively, looked pretty pedestrian against a good, not great Illinois team.

And San Jose State, which scored 17 points against Air Force, put up 52 (46 in regulation) against a Washington State defense that shut Tech down.

I don't really believe in transitive football, but the exterior factors suggest we're not a bad football team based on what we've put on paper.

I'm aware, and he's done fine. But there's nothing particularly explosive about the Utah offense with or without Rising.

When your defense plays at its peak, that won't be a problem. But it puts a lot of pressure on your defense to be really good.

Multiple national media guys keep putting TCU in the same class with Utah and Kansas State this year. I've watched bits and pieces of every TCU game and nothing could be further from the truth. TCU is very mid. They are not a great team by any stretch of the imagination.

This game is not very exciting. Many, if not most, Big 12 games are great.

The Kansas-WVU game was really exciting. As was UCF-TCU last week.

Neither of which were on network TV (Fox, CBS, ABC or NBC).

The Utah/Okalahoma State game is pretty exciting watching defense make play after play. Depends what you like… if you just like teams running high power offense and scoring every drive then I can see why you don't like this physical style.

Pokes are showing some life late in the game but I think it's too little too late. Even if they shore now they won't have enough time to get another score. Plus they would need a 2 point conversion just to tie things up.

I'll never understand why teams dominate doing one thing for 55 minutes and change everything they did to get that point in the final five.

Particularly when playing a successful quick release QB like Bowman, whose work put Okie Lite back in the game.
