We could have beaten Utah

We absolutely should have won tonight.

Aranda is a good DC, he should stay in that role, but Spavital should be gone before morning.

If our idiot DC could call the correct defense on a zero time left hail Mary, we would have one tonight.

Agreed. Defense and Special Teams played a good game except for a few plays. The lack of creative offensive play calling is what lost the game. We had no ball control for much of the game.

I said this last year, but winning the sugar bowl at Baylor buys you a leash longer than the distance between the earth and the moon. Can't wait to see the Mack being interviewed by his PR goons over on the premium board this week and hear all of his stupid umm Dave has us in a good place umm bowl game still um possible um

CU had 7 or 8 in the box much of the night. We didn't do anything to counter it.

Well Mack is never going to fire his little buddy. Baylor does so much stuff via the good old boy network. I'm glad that Dave and his boss have a good relationship, but there has to be standards. This team should be winning seven or eight games in this crappy conference, minimum. This is year five with this coach

I believe we as a fan base deserve better. Just think about all the money Dave Aranda makes for the mediocrity he produces? Most would be long gone.

He had Rhule players on that team that knew how to execute despite Aranda. He gets his boyz in there after that and we fail to beat Air Force. Goes downhill from there.

I just don't know how Macky boy can look people like Jeremy fudge in the eye and ask for his hard earned millions to pour into this program. I doubt the dude got rich by making dumb investments of course, and he might just be cool with having his name on a cool building, and that's totally fine

CU out played BU, and based on that deserves the W. I'll agree Spavital called some bad plays, and the D gave up some big and critical plays. If Spavital goes, Aranda should go too. Bottom line is BU doesn't have the horsepower to compete in the top half of the conference.

you didn't read my post. I never put this loss on the players. Coaches lost this game. I think Mack is the biggest idiot for two (over paid) coaches in a row that have a losing record in the last eight years.

This is the problem Linda has done similar things. Baylor is a woke DEI paradise now, not a Christian school.

Linda isn't going anywhere and neither is Mack. I'm disappointed in our boosters for enabling the board and these administrators.

Two coaches? If you are referring to Rhule, he had to clean up the full toilet bowl that Briles left him by having zero curiosity about his players off the field. You could also add in his inability to have any interest in defense (see the Cotton Bowl) or his inability to prep players for the NFL. Briles and the BOR combined almost killed this program and school.

Rhule set up Aranda in Dave's first year. We have gone down hill since but the number of problem coaches in a row is one and we need to fix it. At this point in the season, I give him a total of 7 games. They seem a bit better but I was raging last year for Mack and Dave to both be gone. No benefit firing at 2-2. That stuff chases off the next candidates.

Agreed. There are likely 3 Buffs from the secondary in the draft next spring. Held Sawyer to 11 completions and 52%.
Some here don't accept that they have a good secondary and that's ok. The stats are now on the record.

Unfortunately, Aranda is actually our head coach, and is responsible for us having three offensive coordinators in five years.

Yeah, I'm seeing this weird fallacy where people act like Dave is only the head coach of the defense and Spavital is head coach of the offense. Doesn't work that way

Plenty of reason to be down on Spav this year...but I'll give him his props tonight.

Good balance of rushing and passing tonight.

Yes agreed. For whatever reason Spav called a great game. Didn't try to be cute as is his tendency. There was only one stretch of 3 plays at the beginning that gave me pause. Otherwise a well called game.
