We don't have the depth defensively to stop a good offense with our backups in on D. And they still had their starters in trying to score.

Only 21 of their points today were real. The rest were garbage time points against reserves. The defense did great today.

Bowl game is definitely in reach. But you are what you're record says you are. And this team is likely, at best, a six- or seven-win team.

We're capable of looking better than that in stretches, but tonight was the first complete game we've played in almost two years. Can we do that again?

This is different than either of our wins last year, which were basically Houdini acts. We kicked a decent team's ass tonight on the road.

If our guys don't gain some confidence from this one, there's something wrong with them -- or those paid to motivate them.

Maybe a win particularly like today plus Yoda showing a little fire on the sideline at the right time along with seeing confidence in some of the kids demeanor hopefully will carry over.

All I'm saying is this is the kind of win that can change the trajectory of a season. We saw it in 2012 with the K-State win.

This is the type of victory that can convince a mediocre team that it's good. And teams play better when they think they're good.

And Oklahoma State is extremely vulnerable after Friday's loss. That was every bit as gut-wrenching as our loss at Colorado. We need to be prepared to break their will early next Saturday. Come out ready to play and put it on them.
