I keep thinking back to Rhoades saying that we were looking to sustain a high-octane offense.
Crucify me if you disagree, but I thought an explosive offense had become synonymous with the Baylor brand.
I WOULD KILL FOR THE PIRATE TO BE COACHING BAYLOR FOOTBALL. (not meant to be taken literally)
I have a hard time believing Leach wouldn't have come. I honestly believe he would have salivated to make a triumphant return to the Big 12. Imagine would Leach would have done with Zach.
After tomorrows game, I cringe at the thought of what the stands will look like for future games.
Besides being a HUGE component of the Baylor brand, that offense would have kept the stands full, IMO.
It can even be said that Leach was an essential root of the most success I've ever seen on the field at Baylor.
He have Briles his start in college coaching.
Which leads me back to my initial question, was Leach off the table for Rhoades? Completely unhireable?
AND... if he was unhirable then, has he suddenly become hirable after 3 weeks of watching what Baylor football looks like with Big 10 flavor?
If, for some reason, Rhoades did what he did at Houston (and manned up and cut bait after a 3 year trial with a HC), is it possible he would look at Leach? (I know that's a practically impossible scenario)
Or would he roll the dice again?
