I appreciate what both Aranda and Rhule have done at points, but we've been extremely up-and-down ever since Briles, and we've never been truly in the mix nationally since Briles. He had us on the lip of the cup and was just ramping up recruiting to match.
So, no. I'm happy to be 8-4 and headed to a bowl game. Excited about the future. But I also remember how badly we ****ed that up. It was peak Baylor behavior, and we forget it at our peril.

What I've learned about Baylor is that if any coach has even one successful season, they immediately get a cult following that is both rabid and permanent. It isn't just briles that has one, Aranda has one as well, that's the funny thing

The most hilarious of all were the Einsteins that brown-nosed Chuck Reedy & Kevin Steele. I was branded Lucifer himself for about 10 years for posting the TRUTH about our black eyes administered by those coaches. While Reedy, Roberts & Steele were being lifted off the ground by Baylor's $$$$ men/brown-noses at that time, don't forget our AD at that time - Sweet Tom Stanton. I was correct about those 4 and I remember taking heat for posting the TRUTH. This gave birth to the original charter members of the Baylor Bear Limp-Wrist/Pencil Neck Society. Some of them are here today posting away.

I just meant that Solich had a .750 winning percentage and was fired after a 9-3 season (his previous season was 7-7 -- I still don't understand how they played 13 regular season games with no championship game). He won more games during his tenure than Devaney or Osborne did in six years. Because they weren't winning 12 games every single year, they canned him and have never been back to the Osborne days since.IowaBear said:
