However, sometimes he says things that make him look ridiculous. Hard to figure that guy out.

That's fantastic context and really brings clarity and insight.
The national media better hold Justin Herbert accountable for his playoff performances like they do to Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott.

Torched by grifting outrage merchants like Clay Travis and Jason Whitlock. Who cares?GodleyBear said:

Yep, well he's getting torched because of it.
But if you agree with where he's going with it, that's fine too.
He just seems to say things every once in a while that seem a little off.
Still a fan.
I would say the same exact thing if his examples were reversed and it was Jamele Hill rage baiting on Twitter.GodleyBear said:
Oh, i can see you have an objective view on the situation.
Thanks for your insight.
He did. But that one didn't fit Clay Travis' agenda.Stefano DiMera said:
Didn't he just make a similar comment comparing Mike Tomlins lack of recent playoff success to Mike McCarthy?

His point is a fair one.
He insinuated that Justin Herbert was not subject to the same playoff performance scrutiny as Lamar Jackson or Dak Prescott, simply because Herbert is white.bear2be2 said:The national media better hold Justin Herbert accountable for his playoff performances like they do to Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott.

I assume the above is what you're talking about. If so, I fail to see how this is stepping in it.

All the while completely ignoring the spectacular performance of Houston QB C.J. Stroud.

I wonder what RG3 thinks about buying Greenland
Anyone whose content and engagement is driven primarily off marketing hot takes on the words and actions of others to a specific tribe -- most often on a partisan basis -- is a grifter. Unfortunately, there's a lot of money to be made in reinforcing the opinions of deeply tribal people. And those tribal people are often too partisan and/or gullible to know they're marks.Johnny Bear said:bear2be2 said:Torched by grifting outrage merchants like Clay Travis and Jason Whitlock. Just because you don't like/agree with calling out playing the race card doesn't make people who do "grifting outrage merchants" any more than those who race bait are "grifting outrage merchants".
Herbert was horrible this weekend. I don't remember what he did in the last few years. I don't get the Jackson criticism. He balls in the Mahommes era. Those things happen.RD2WINAGNBEAR86 said:He insinuated that Justin Herbert was not subject to the same playoff performance scrutiny as Lamar Jackson or Dak Prescott, simply because Herbert is white.bear2be2 said:The national media better hold Justin Herbert accountable for his playoff performances like they do to Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott.

If you don't think there has been a widespread narrative in the media that Lamar Jackson is a playoff choker, you haven't been paying attention.CaliBear00 said:bear2be2 said:The national media better hold Justin Herbert accountable for his playoff performances like they do to Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott.

Jackson is a perennial MVP candidate, Herbert isn't. RGIII? More like CTEIII. This was an embarrassing attempt to generate controversy and RGIII should feel embarrassed for posting it.

I think the point is neither of them could ever crack through vs the Celtics, Pistons, or Bulls.GoodOleBaylorLine said:Mitch Blood Green said:

They played once in the playoffs.
