I remember years ago, I think it was the KSU coach who went over to the BU locker room to prop up the team when BU was way down and said their time would come. Thought it was a classy thing to do.

TCU called a timeout down 44-13 with 42 seconds remaining to go for it on 4th-and-1.

They got called for a false start, called for another false start and then gave up a sack against their starting quarterback to end the game.

Not really sure why any of that happened.
