At this point I expect them to replace Nokes and Pow (as Safeties coach) but I think Dave stays as the acting/playcalling DC, or Paul Gonzales gets promoted.

But if we're hiring from outside and want to bring in a new guy for the DC role, in this weird year coming up...I'd go with Chris O'Leary if we can get him to come - young guy with a bright future, and his positional specialty is Safeties...

Well considering that could be 1/3 or more of all P4 HCs a candidate would work for even if they are in the play off right now…..who knows?

Right, atp every coach is on the hot seat. Like I think if UT isn't in the playoffs next year, Sark is gone. Even if they are 10-3.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's an internal move, especially if the powers agree that Dave's a short termer. Their not going to invest much on a sinking ship.

If Dave is still calling the defense does it really make that much difference ? A new DC would have to have the freedom to bring in their own system and call the defense during games to effect changes.

Patterson because he could be interim head coach when Aranda is let go early.
