Ya, it's not that complicated. Put a winner on the field/court. Fans will come to watch.

Very excited to see what changes to the game day experience and Foundation member (true) appreciation Doug makes. I forgave my multi-sport season tickets (and substantial Foundation annual donations) a few years ago - nothing about Mack was Fans first and that became evident a long time ago.

I so desperately want to rejoin, and restart, my giving and support to Baylor athletics and get back to ENJOYING traveling the 3+ hours to games and events.

Waiting with excitement......

Don't throw caution to the winds. Not everything that must be put on paper has been, yet. The pig is still in the poke.

what cluster****? If you have a parking pass then enter the gate for your lot. Whats cluster **** about that? Baylor has 1 of the best parking set ups around a stadium in the big 12.

You have 4 large lots at the stadium, 1 at the law school right across the river, q at dutton garage just a little further than that, parking at ferrell center and speight garages with a free shuttle tonthe law school area, remote handicap parking with a shuttle that drops you off in front of gates, and then free parking downtown with a free shuttle. Oh and another lot across mlk the last 3 seasons.

Then add in private owned options: brazos parking, oso easy parking at corner of orchard and mlk, and numerous homes and churches in the adjacent neighborhood selling available parking all at reasonable prices and very reasonable distance, especially compared to the rest of the big 12.

So what exactly are you mad about

I paid to park for years. I was told about downtown and tried it and loved it. Park for free, take the bus for free and be left out and picked up right in front of the stadium. When I paid to park, I had to walk about four times as far.

Does this guy really expect more butts in the stands by lowering the price of Nachos?? We can't be serious.
You want people in the stands Doug? Than do what any serious athletic department would have done years ago. Get rid of your garbage ass coach. That alone will breathe life into the program.

This is about so much more than simply getting fans to show up. It is demonstrating a long overdue focus on fan engagement and even more importantly helping make baylor football games much more accessible for Waco. The median income in waco is less than 30k per household. Baylor needs Joe Waco. Our fans have proven for decades that winning wont get them to games. They proved it after the mbb natty and proved it after the best fball season ever in 21.

But Baylor fans love to ignore good things and instead find something to ***** about

Again, the product on the field trumps all. You should know that. You've Sat in half empty stadiums/arenas for decades. When the production the field is good people show up. When the product on the court is good people show up. Altering prices is a short term at best band aid.
You'll have to excuse me for not seeing a drop in food prices as this awesome earth shattering development

This is definitely a step in the right direction. I recall going to a game around 2008, when we were still living on hopium. We still sucked but the tailgate scene was organic and popping. Much different than that Tailgate Guys thing which was the most 1980s Baylor proper thing I have seen ... ugh! It killed fan engagement IMO.

I don't disagree with the sentiment of getting "Joe Waco" more involved, but that is not the path for a better fan engagement in my opinion. Baylor has literally been giving away tickets for free to "Joe Waco" for years and still can't fill the stadium. Why? Because we sucked. Doesn't matter the price...nobody wants to see their team not be competitive. Don't see how this is any different. And nothing against "Joe Waco", but they aren't going fund NIL and facility improvement down the road. They'd be better off trying to figure out how to win the trust back the alumni base...not Joe Waco.

Looking back in the last 15-20 years, there was only one thing that resulted in a full, rocking stadium and an absolutely fantastic fan experience that I would pay for every time. WINNING!! 2008 when RGIII whooped TAMU, RGIII's heisman moment against OU, Bryce Petty whooping UT in the throwback uniforms, Seastrunk shredding #1 KState, the tackle at the 1-yard line against OSU to win the Big 12. The memory is the fan experience, not the price of hot dogs.

You make a good point about getting buy in from Joe Waco. Tcu has the whole town of Ft worth cheering for them and now that theyre on landman theyre getting all kinds of pulicity and half of California applies there. Smu started a long time ago to brand themselves as Dallas' team and it seems to be working now. We should be at least trying to follow that path.

baylor does not give tickets away for free to football games. Not once have they done that since the days of the Wendy's deal with VetTix being the only exception allowing military/vets to attend for free and that is limited quantity.

Any ticket giveaways have been due to fans buying tickets to donate such as the sicem365 ticket drives & the donors buying tickets to give for free to waco residents for the 2022 ksu game for example.

I have lived in Fort Worth for nearly 10 years and will tell you that this is not true.

Baylor received just as much, if not more, publicity from Chip and Joanna on Fixer Upper/Magnolia than TCU has gotten from Landman. Perhaps TCU is capitalizing better on the exposure than what we did, which his highly plausible considering our admin. TCU actually having respectable athletics undoubtedly helps. And I would be willing to guarantee that TCU high brass are not trying to make football games more accessible to the folks living near Stop Six...

SMU did not successfully become "Dallas's Team" until they became competitive at football and then people actually started to pay attention.

And comparing Waco to Fort Worth or Dallas is a sin in itself.
