I don't have the answer, but it's a good question - especially now that the evil empire in Austin isn't isn't around to royally screw that situation up with their own network.

We had one. It was called the Longhorn Network. But after UT and OU left, our conference was to be dissolved according to early ESPN reports.

You're correct. That said, I'm really looking forward to a national champion next season that isn't among the top NIL schools in the country (namely Texas, Ohio State, or some other traditional powerhouse).

We are never going to be where Texas Tech is. Just not enough interest from our big money base, probably even with a new coach. Not bitter at all, because they can spend their money where they want. it's just how it is.
