*Baylor Stadium was a classic old school stadium, nothing wrong with it at all. BU just had to put a good team in there to watch (not always the case).

The 2011 team will always be one of my favorites. Started with wrecking Fat Pat's defense & his toads, then finished with this beatdown of the longhorns and scoring 67 in the Alamo Bowl win. In between there was hanging 66 on Tech, kicking Sooner butt, & huge loud crowds returning to Baylor Stadium (FCS). Baylor also officially ended 'the Pussification of BU football' with a 10 win season and RG3's Heisman win.

It is sad, in the end, we cannot have nice things. We are Baylor.
Call it a tax, the people are outraged! Call it a tariff, the people get out their checkbooks and wave their American flags!!!

We can sometimes have them, but it seems we can never have them for long. CAB had us playing "big boy football" for 5 straight seasons from '11 - '15 and he was the only football HC in our entire history to accomplish even that level of consistency. But alas, our BOI ultimately reminded us we're "not an institution of football" and made sure we proved it by blowing it all up for otherwise no good reason.

Had Rhule stayed or we hired Joey over Davey, we might be in a better spot now.

And then gaslighted the entire alumni base with another "weapons of mass destruction" false flag by insisting that the NCAA was going to start sending in the Spanish inquisition to shut the program down or some such BS…. but at least we provided a cautionary tale to other institutions to circle the wagons, pay the fine, do the tearful apology, and move on.

That was fun to watch, so TY for posting.

I knew the end result but couldn't remember a lot about the play by play game action so it was fun to see it again.

There were several games 2011-2015 that were memorable and still fun to watch:

2011: TCU, OU, Tech, Texas, Washington
2012: the last four: K State, Tech, OSU, UCLA
2013: WVU (for the insane offense), Iowa State, OU, Tech, Texas - Actually, they all featured great offense.
2014: SMU (first game in McLane), Texas, TCU, OSU, K State, Michigan State (first 3 quarters only!)
2015: Tech, WVU, Iowa State, K State, OSU, UNC

We could even add the 2010 Texas & the 2016 OSU games

Thanks for posting. I need to go back and watch a bunch of games between 2011 - 2015. It would be fun to relive the joy and optimism we had in the program back then and to remember what is possible.

I was at the 1989 game in Austin. Walking out with time left on the clock and Bears score at least one more time before I got into to my car. It was joyous.
