Hah, it's hard not to anymore. All of these players were the face of Baylor football during their time here and all but Goree played at a time when the W's outnumbered the L's. Goree's tenacity and energy did carry over to his former teammates as they went out the next year and performed the 'Miracle on the Brazos'.

All of them played the game the way it was intended to be played.

One of my favorites is Ronnie Bull. He was a Chicago Bear, and my dad talked about those 60s teams with great reverence.

From my school days…Robert Blackmon, James Francis, Santana Dotson and Mike Welch. No one on offense stands out to me from those days. (87-91).

C'mon....who can forget the horn tamer, Brad Goebel. He was 2-1 vs the horns including the 50-7 beatdown in Austin.

On defense you forgot Ray Crockett.

While I love great defensive play, it should be acknowledged that Frank Ditta got a lot of Bears into the end zone, opening more than a few holes right at the goal line.

I think alot of people are naming their favorites knowing they aren't Mount Rushmore.

Crazy thought, but a "what if". I really think if Seth Russell had not gone down in 2015 in that Iowa State game, he might have broken some BU records over his career. Prior to the injury, that 2015 team was rolling. Seth was such a freakish athlete with sneaky speed, good size, and a great accurate arm. I would have loved to have seen what could have been.

Seth was a potential Heisman winner IMO. That 2015 team, if healthy, would've made the CFP then who knows after that.

There was no "might" about it. Seth was going to shatter Baylor and National records. The dude had 35 total TDS at that point. W29 passing 6 rushing. Even a pedestrian back 6 games wouldn't have mattered.
He was going to win the heisman and Baylor would have played for a natty. That injury is arguably the most significant in Baylor football history.

He won't make Rushmore, but he did make Baylor's All-Decade team. So let's give accolades to Alfred Anderson!

At his position, which in my mind, is the only way to compare players across position. If you're just talking about football athleticism, it's RG3 and then pick some RBs or maybe Pitre.

I didn't mention athleticism. Sepulveda was great, but he only played a handful of snaps per game. Is that good enough to make him better than Thomas Everett? James Francis? Jalen Pitre? Bryce Petty? etc? etc? etc?

Santana Dotson great at Baylor. Consensus first team All-American. He WRECKED backfields.

10 years in NFL. Won Super Bowl at Green Bay. Named by at least one source as NFL Rookie of the Year.

At least Gordon got it together somewhat to play here and make it to the NFL for a few years to collect some paychecks.

As discussed on another thread Odell James is one of those weird cases of a bust. It was partially him but mainly his injury and then coaches not running the correct offense for him.

Ben Gay (RIP) also made the NFL but couldn't stay out of trouble. By the time he figured out how to stay out of trouble he was in his late 20s and no NFL team wanted a RB that was his age, played in semi pro leagues getting beat up and had his documented history of troubles.
