With the scandal issues at Vanderbilt before he left I don't think he's a candidate Baylor would've been able to touch

The major concerns:
1) Will a new environment change his mind on NIL/Transfer Portal? He's proven that you can't compete using his old philosophy of 4/5-year development alone.
2) For once, it looks like we have a solid OC/DC combo. If he comes in, he'll probably want to bring his own guys.

DC, yes. Spav is not an effective, winning OC. He's always been around .500 since his failure at a smaller school.

2026: 4-2 (so far)

In the pre-NIL decade, he only had one 3 loss season and one 4 loss season with 7 conference championships.

Clearly NIL has resulted in a dropoff in his production. Would that be true for all head coaches though?

Swinney has had an almost two decades long tenure at Clemson. I suppose you could make a similar comparison for Gundy. But few coaches have that long a resume at one institution where you can directly compare pre 2021 and post 2021 results.

We aren't getting Traylor or Danielson either. Could've probably got Danielson on a package deal with Jeramiah Dickey last year or Traylor, but as always, indecisiveness kills
