Keys for Baylor

  1. Get Lagway going early. He is 0-1 as a Bear and has not played since Auburn. Colorado’s pass defense is suspect.
  2. Stop the Go-Go run game. CU’s strength is the ground attack and four backs averaging 5+ YPC. Brennan Marion needs a big game as OC.
  3. Win the red zone. Colorado is last in the Big 12 in red-zone trips and has allowed seven RZ TDs. Baylor hasn’t finished better than 12th in red-zone offense scoring percentage dating back to 2023 and ranks 13th currently. 
  4. Apply pressure for 60 minutes. Aranda expects CU’s best shot after Northwestern. Baylor can’t have a Louisiana Tech type of fourth quarter.
  5. Protect the ball. Don’t give Colorado life with turnovers. Baylor hasn’t done a good job of that this season.

You can't leave your defense on the field the entire second half, go three and out over and over again and expect it to bail you out the entire game.

We're going to lose this game because the offense is ass and the defense has been ground into dust.

And if we do lose, I want Dave Aranda's ass fired at the postgame press conference.

Exactly. The defense is the only reason we're even in this game. But when you lose time of possession by 10-plus minutes, your defense will wear down. It's not if, it's when.

No words. We all know what should happen. This is a must score or I think it's time to switch it up. We lose without make an attempt to change anything, Dave is gone. Tough position to be in but how else should I see it?

He is the head coach and architect of our program and has had seven years to develop this. Why should he not get the majority of the blame?

Baylor didn't necessarily need a qb change, they needed a philosphy change. Adjust, better mix, don't abandon the run, don't rely on deep low percentage passes.
