Keys for Baylor

  1. Get Lagway going early. He is 0-1 as a Bear and has not played since Auburn. Colorado’s pass defense is suspect.
  2. Stop the Go-Go run game. CU’s strength is the ground attack and four backs averaging 5+ YPC. Brennan Marion needs a big game as OC.
  3. Win the red zone. Colorado is last in the Big 12 in red-zone trips and has allowed seven RZ TDs. Baylor hasn’t finished better than 12th in red-zone offense scoring percentage dating back to 2023 and ranks 13th currently. 
  4. Apply pressure for 60 minutes. Aranda expects CU’s best shot after Northwestern. Baylor can’t have a Louisiana Tech type of fourth quarter.
  5. Protect the ball. Don’t give Colorado life with turnovers. Baylor hasn’t done a good job of that this season.

Win or lose Baylor football can not keep a momentum. It's been 6 years of jeckyl and Hyde game play. Never can keep the foot on the opponents neck for 4 quarters and we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot with undisciplined penalties and sloppiness.

The one thing that makes this team different is that the defense is legitimately good, and that's a sustainable way to stay in games against most everyone.

We may suck on offense this year, but we'll still have a chance in every game because 24 points is likely a winning total most weeks.

Holding the ball too long, there, but it did lead to a D penalty. But you need some open options, or the qb needs to recognize them when they are.

The strategery seems to be to get a receiver in one on one coverage and throw that way and hope he wins.

Not a great strategy for consistent matriculation.

I'll take the field goal there because it makes the lead two scores, but this offense is a problem. We look like total ass on that side of the ball.

This offense is broke man…we die by the field goal in games all year if this is the product - we aren't tough on O and we are so vanilla

Yep...DJ is not sharp...but this O just doesn't have any weapons or threats either.

I know they don't want to run DJ...but that's the only way I think they could make the O a little more dynamic.

That's frustrating considering Dave paid DJ seven figures to come here. Could've rolled with Bennett and massively upgraded the offensive line or brought in a couple different makers at receiver

Then Dave shouldn't have spent $2m on a QB and spread that money around. The guy just doesn't know what he is doing.

At this point we just need to have the offense avoid giving any turnovers so Colorado doesn't get a hint of momentum.

We are gonna have to try and nurse this 10 point lead to the end...
