Grobe: Shock Linwood, Bye Weeks, Being Overlooked Nationally
Baylor head coach Jim Grobe joined the Big 12 teleconference on Monday morning to discuss Baylor running back Shock Linwood, an odd slate of bye games, and if he believes Baylor is being overlooked nationally.
0:02 — Building up a program like Kansas and Iowa State
1:51 — Shock Linwood’s status on the depth chart
“He’s earned that opportunity [to start]. I haven’t talked to Jeff Lebby about it. I let the coaches decide at their position who is going to start, and how much they are going to play, and that type of thing. He certainly played well enough in the game to go back and being the starting running back.”3:07 — The impact of a bye week
“I think we got to catch our breath. You know, we had two really, really tough games back-to-back in Oklahoma State and Iowa State so I think it probably helped us mentally as much as anything.”4:15 — Is Baylor under the radar nationally?
“I hope we’re a pretty good football team, but I think times going to tell. It’s still early for people to draw a real beat on teams. I think we beat two pretty good teams the past couple of times out with Oklahoma State, and I think Iowa State is playing great football right now.”Never miss the latest news from SicEm365!
