Game Thread: Bears head to Norman with hopes of getting back on track
The Baylor Bears (6-2) will face the No. 11-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (7-2) on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. CT. The Big 12 game will be aired live on ABC/ESPN2.
“I’m excited for this week for sure. Regrouping is just kind of what we do. When you come out with a bad week you have to be able to sit back down and get back to basics, and I feel like the coaches said some really good things yesterday when we were watching film. We have to get back to what we do.”
“Senior leadership, coaching staff; we just have to remind everybody and keep everybody busy with football. We can’t keep everybody off of social media, but we can try to get them to not focus on everything that’s going on with social media.”
“They have a great running game, and Baker Mayfield has done a great job this season. That’s going to be a big challenge for us as a defense and as a team.”
“We have to focus on the basics. We have to work on tackling this week. The tackles that we missed went into bigger plays down the line, so we have to focus more on execution.”
