After Beating a top 10 program, ISU has a right to celebrate but after the opposing team has cleared the field. Player safety is important
In the history of field rushing, what player has ever been seriously injured by a throng of giddy freshmen half the body weight of any D1 player?Gruvin said:

There was that incident with LaGarrette Blount that one year against Boise.MilliVanilli said:In the history of field rushing, what player has ever been seriously injured by a throng of giddy freshmen half the body weight of any D1 player?Gruvin said:

If it ever happens I'll join your concern, but until a Tri-Delt shanks an opposing QB with a shiv, it's just kids having fun.
I'm aware. I had Blount on my fantasy team that year and he had a horrible game so I remember vividly cause I was watching the game live when it happened. The punch happened when fans were rushing the field and the other player got in Blount's face.vanillabryce said:

I was just about to ask you if Blount was on your fantasy team that year. Thanks for disclosing. Now I can manage to get on with the rest of my day.ColomboLQ said:I'm aware. You misunderstand. This isn't an issue of player safety, but rather student safety (regardless of what anyone says). One of these emotional players is going to haul off and slug some student rushing the field and it's going to be bad. The players can easily protect themselves from rushing students, but Dana doesn't need a player being kicked off the team for breaking someone's jaw during that.303Bear said:They are D-1 athletes in pads with helmets...Gruvin said:

You can just shrug it off like Huggins did in basketball last year.pegging1234 said:You misunderstand. Rushing the field after a big win isn't going to stop any time soon, nor should it. Better off trying to keep everyone separated when it does happen.

Aggys are outliers, almost no one provokes the kind of stupidity that seems to befall them.Pecos 45 said:
Remember that an A&M student was killed during a Baylor game when both sides rushed the field.
