Regular top 10 in football, baseball, softball, track, gymnastics. Department turns a profit every year, great facilities, and only big program in the state. Probably a better job. Best part: no milkmen!

No. Not to me.

To quote LBJ about the difference between the Senate vs the House.
One is chicken salad darling and the other is chicken sh*t.
LSU is better in every single way: hotter girls, better campus architecture, better food, better town, and football/baseball teams that have actually won national titles.

College station looks like a strip mall in Sugar land with terrible trafffic.....it takes 30 minutes to drive 6 miles. Light after light
It's filled with dorks and ugly buildings plus even worse looking women.
Along with a football and baseball programs that have never won national titles......and no, made up titles from the 1920s don't count

Baton Rouge traffic is horrific
And most everything you spouted off about have nothing to do with being an AD
Baton Rouge > College Station.Les3 said:

Athletic facilities? Yes both have brand new nice facilities....you know who else does...Baylor.Les3 said:Redbrickbear said:Les3 said:

Don't get me wrong, I am no A&M lover, but their facilities are as good, money is too, same conference..makes you wonder if there is more to it.
It is not a "no brainer" decision.
Yep, he grew up in BR and went to Catholic High in BR. For him it probably was an easy decision.IamBaylorOne said:

I'm talking about the campus....aggy looks like a Soviet tractor factory.
LSU looks 100% better ascetically.
Now if we are talking sports potential? Well LSU has proven it can win national titles in the sports that matter.
Aggy has never done that.
He did his job at aggy and got them good coaches.Les3 said:Redbrickbear said:Athletic facilities? Yes both have brand new nice facilities....you know who else does...Baylor.Les3 said:Redbrickbear said:Les3 said:

I agree with much of that. And being an Alum would tug on you, but:
Jumbo Fisher or Ed Orgeron?
He just hired Buzz Williams
Future looks pretty bright in CS.

Pretty much. Disagree about the coeds though. Conservative town, still beats living in Austin.

Yeah, if you hate culture BCS definitely beats Austin
I am a Texan so would rather live anywhere here over BR.

I suppose if you like endless traffic jams and a high cost of living Austin would be a fantastic place to live and raise a family. To each their own.
Notice my original comment said live, not visit. Austin has great restaurants and entertainment venues...CS has mostly chains with a couple of notable exceptions. Sorta like Waco, or at least the Waco of 35 years ago.
