The Baylor Bears (10-1) have moved to No. 9 in the latest College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings following a week 13 of the 2019 football season. The Bears, who have won at least 10 games for the fifth time since 2010, controlled their contest against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday 24-10 in Waco.
Despite having a regular season game against Kansas on Saturday, the victory over Texas by the Bears clinched their spot in the Big 12 Championship game on Dec. 7 against the Oklahoma Sooners.
While the chances of reaching the four-team playoff eaching are small, the Bears will have an opportunity for their best win of the season against the Sooners at AT&T Stadium. Baylor fell to the Sooners 34-31 in Waco two weeks ago after climbing out to a 28-3 lead in the first half.
Baylor will travel to Lawrence, Kansas to face the Jayhawks at 2:30 p.m. CT in a game aired on ESPN on Saturday.
