BREAKING: Baylor lands four-star East Texas running back Jordan Jenkins
Despite being in the middle of an unexpected recruiting dead period, Baylor added to their 2021 recruiting class on Saturday afternoon with the addition of Lindale (TX) High School running back Jordan Jenkins (6-1, 202).
Jenkins committed to Baylor over offers from Texas Tech, BYU, Tennessee, Southern Cal and Vanderbilt.
As a sophomore in the spring of 2019, Jenkins posted a 4.68 second 40-yard dash, a 4.38 second shuttle and a 34-inch vertical at The Opening Regionals.
Jenkins was in attendance at a Baylor camp under Matt Rhule’s staff last summer and was in attendance at Baylor’s junior day earlier this spring under new head coach Dave Aranda.
As a junior at Lindale, Jenkins rushed for 1,422 yards and 27 touchdowns on 219 carries. That performance came a season after rushing for 1,504 yards and 17 touchdowns on 273 carries as a sophomore.
Jenkins was named 5A second team all-state selection by the Texas AP in 2019 and was a unanimous first-team all-district selection as a sophomore in 2018.
