BREAKING: Baylor releasing final single digits for 2020 season

On Tuesday afternoon, the official Baylor Twitter account began to release the single digits recipients for 2020 football season. 

Follow along here for updates as the numbers are released. 

0 — RJ Sneed, Wide Receiver, Junior

1 — Trestan Ebner, Running Back, Senior

2 — Terrel Bernard, Linebacker, Junior

3 — Raleigh Texada, Cornerback, Senior**

4 — Christian Morgan, Safety, Junior**

5 — Charlie Brewer, Quarteback, Senior

6 — Gavin Holmes, Receiver, Sophomore**

7 — John Lovett, Running Back, Senior

8 — Jalen Pitre, STAR, Junior**

9 — Tyquan Thornton, Receiver, Junior**

**- Released on Tuesday, September 1st

Nice to see Charlie at #5 & Sneed at #0. Actually, I'm happy with all of them but especially those two.

I am assuming that Aranda decided to keep Rhule's single digit rule.

That means it is no longer a "Rhule" thing. It is now a BU thing.

When you are the first coach to ever leave Baylor for another job, you lose the right to anything bearing your name.






I know there was a W Soccer coach that left a while back, but that doesn't count.

Its gonna be weird to see Charlie as number 5 because he has always been 12. And the number 0 is weird. But overall I agree with these picks. No one besides these guys work harder

#1 - BU can sell a whole new batch of Charlie jerseys

#2 - My first thought about the #0 was of Kenny Burroughs with the Oilers. Old number 00: best number ever! But that would be a double number

I remember last year someone was complaining/commenting on the fact that Charlie had not been given a single digit yet. Well, now he has one. From what I, & a lot of others, have seen he has earned it.

I am curious as to who will get the others. Also, does anyone know if it is still being decided by a vote of the whole team?

The team has always voted these, With some guys voted but couldn't take them for rules- OL guys can't have single digit numbers if I remember correctly.

Yea, I've heard that too. I think it's NCAA rules for some reason. I heard somewhere that James Lynch received a large number of votes last year despite being ineligible.

One of Arandas positions. He's way to small to be a LB. both safeties are heavier then Jalen

A hybrid linebacker type that Aranda uses quite a bit in his defenses.

He lost almost 20 pounds to move to the position after Aranda arrived.
