I guess the WSJ should be expecting a call soon from the LSU BOR

" Additionally, the university hired a third-party service to perform its own investigation into allegations raised by several women who previously attended the school.

Those women say they felt LSU officials failed to fully investigate their complaints of sexual assault or gave alleged offenders reduced punishments because of their involvement in certain campus activities.

Those women further claim students, including several top athletes, dodged punishment after LSU failed to involved its Title IX office or police in certain investigations as required by federal laws and school policies."

Hopefully, once the digging begins, our horse in this race is squeaky clean.

The inside story should have read, "LSU hired a third-party firm based in Baton Rouge and consisting solely of former LSU grads to perform a standard thorough SEC investigation. The law firm of Pepper Hamilton will not be involved in this process."

LSU has opted to use the Mich St plan rather than the BU plan

Well....not a grad....but looks like one of the lead "3rd party investigators" is a LSU parent.....so that seems pretty impartial.

Scott Schneider, partner with Husch Blackwell, spoke to the Board of Supervisors during the meeting. Schneider has 15 years experience around higher education issues surrounding Title IX and has 25 years experience in law. His daughter is currently a student at LSU.

He said Husch Blackwell plans to come to campus as early as next week to begin an interview process.

"We're eager to get started," Schneider said. "It's a tough project. We're looking forward to it and appreciative of the opportunity to work with you all."

Schneider said the team of lawyers has already started meeting with University constituents.

"We want a full and fair independent investigation that tells us exactly what happened so that we can take any appropriate actions," Galligan said. "We want to be able to go forward and be better."

I'm sure this will be a very thorough investigation (sarcasm). They will get a reprimand and their self imposed bowl ban this year (like they were in the running for one anyway) will be good enough for the NCAA.

It'll probably be thorough. If they're smart, it will remain privileged.

As thorough as a Kansas investigation of Bill Self?

If you get on Twitter and search "LSU" you have to scroll forever to find any mentions about this story. It's just not creating any waves nationally.

From about 2016 to 2017 anytime your searched "Baylor" on Twitter all you would see would be scandal headlines.

"LSU agreed to pay the firm up to $100,000 for the review." Does anyone know if that is around what Baylor paid for their "review"?

NCAA quit putzing around with our 5-year-old investigation and clear your plate for LSU's Lack of Institutional Control case.

ESPN are you out there? Outsides the Lines? Hello...Hello!

ESPN radio did a segment on the embarrassing Les Miles stuff yesterday.

I believe LSU is supposed to release the findings of the 3rd party "audit" today....the usual Friday afternoon dump I'm sure.

I've seen some speculation that LSU is throwing Les Miles under the bus to try and draw headlines and draw attention away from their current bigger issues.

The first name in the law firm is Husch. This falls into the names that are unfortunate for the job they are doing. For example, Jerry Kill has the perfect name for a football coach. He would struggle as a physician. Who really wants to go to Dr. Kill? A criminal judge would probably not be best for him either. Husch is probably not the best name for a 3rd party, independent investigator.

Probably add a few zeros the way the BOR tossed money around like the Government.

Except at the end of LSU's investigation, LSU will announce it has called upon the University of Kansas to fire Miles.

It should tell you something that one of the former 'cheerleader' journalists is now a blogger.

And the public has lost confidence in the media to report on this, but that's their fault.
