Dry was light years better than Jim Shofner or Billy Tohill that preceded him. Shofner went 2-31 (even worse than Bill Beall's 3-28). Dry at least managed to beat Tech in 80, Arky in 81 and us in 82.

Yeah TCU went through a 40 years or so period ending in the late 90s that went about like our 97-09 period. TCU folks sound about like Baylor folks around 89 which was a bad year in Teaff's 18 year beginning to grumble that Patterson has been there too long etc.
