I don't think there's much separation between OU, OSU, ISU, and BU this year. Home field may be the deciding factor in a lot of those matchups.

That was a horrendous spot. It should have been a first down.Stefano DiMera said:

You can throw Texas in there as well, though there's a good chance they go 0-4 in those games. They had both OU and OSU down in the fourth quarter and couldn't close it out.boognish_bear said:

All we have to do is win out...

Ha..I don't think in a physical sport like football the rules differentiate between the two.
Quote:
The ball carrier shall not grasp a teammate; and no other player of his team
shall grasp, pull, or lift him to assist him in forward progress.
Quote:
In trying to gain yardage, ball carrier A44 is slowed by defensive
players attempting to make the tackle. Back A22 (a) puts his hands
on the buttocks of A44 and pushes him forward; (b) pushes the pile of
teammates who begin to surround A44; (c) grabs the arm of A44 and
tries to pull him forward for more yardage.
RULING
(a) and (b) Legal.
It is not a foul to push the ball carrier or the pile.
(c) Foul for assisting the runner. 5-yard penalty with three-and-one enforcement. (Rule 9-3-
2-b)
By the book, it should be illegal, but they never call it. And no flag was thrown on the play in question, so the only real consideration is whether or not the receiver reached the line to gain. I thought (and still think) he did, but the line judge disagreed, and his ruling matters more than mine.Jack Bauer said:Stefano DiMera said:

Looks like Toad U has packed in a crowd of about 30K for WV.
The runner was held and driven back at least 2 yds prior to losing control of the ball. It should have been declared dead and short of the line to gain. That is not reviewable. The next issue is whether this is a hand-off or a fumble? https://t.co/LbElvJru1T

A week after Baylor held BYU RB Tyler Allgeier to 33 yards on 15 carries, Allgeier led BYU with 191 yards and 2 TDs on 32 carries in BYU’s win over Washington State.

That’s the fourth win for the Cougars over a Pac-12 team this season.
