SO RB Zach Evans leads the rushing attack, a dangerous one 92 rushes 648 yards 7 yards per carry 5TDs 108 yards per game. Behind him is SO RB Kendre Miller 55 rushes 411 yards 7.5 yards per carry and 6TDs 58.7 yards per game.

as a resident of Fort Worth, the word here is that when his contract is up he'll just retire. He is well-liked in Fort Worth and by TCU people. TCU would be foolish to fire him. For a lot of reasons he'd be hard to replace.

This may end up being be true, but that's a hard pill to swallow for an AD. He's essentially admitting, even if only internally, that the next three seasons will be lost cause lame ducks for the sake of optics. Patterson would've been difficult to replace pre-Big 12, but they're well established now and obviously have the budget to pay a top salary. They can very easily attract someone who surpasses what Patterson has become, which is out of touch with the modern game.

They'll never outright fire him, but they may come to some amicable contract buyout agreement. At the rate they're going, if they wait until 2024 TCU may be in a much, much worse position to hire a new coach.

Maybe Evans is getting a better offer (NIL).

This has already gotten a lot uglier than I would've thought.

RB Zach Evans was a huge problem in HS. Got kicked off team several times but coaches bring him back because he is talented RB. Some colleges passed on him for just this reason. I believe he committed to several schools before finally landing at Texas Christian University alias TCU. Kids a head case with destructive tendencies.

Coach sent his butt home the night before the state championship game. Dude was a gamble and is a tool.

It's quite possible the fan gossip on the Frog board is reliable as it his here: hit or miss. It may even be worse.

If he does leave, it could be to our advantage for him to leave this week. It would be great to go to Ft Worth & the Frogs not even have a run game. It would be really special to beat them by 40 points like they did to us in Waco in 2016. Or drop 80+ points on them like they did to Tech.

I don't think Aranda would do any of that, even if GP did, but lots of Baylor fans would love to see it.

Gary Patterson will never be fired at TCU just like Grant Teaff was never fired here. You'll just see a sudden retirement.

Will they **** up as badly as we did?
