It was also a CBS game that started 30 min prior to any other game that Saturday.

It appears the most important determinant is the network and time, not the teams involved. We are playing in the same slot as OSU/Neb tomorrow. It will be interesting to see the viewership numbers.

Perhaps true at the bottom, but not at the top. The Top covers all the major networks and all three kickoff periods. It's obvious why the networks want a Super League largely comprised of the SEC's & B1G's top programs, all of which are large state schools with vast audiences. Week after week it's proven that's where the majority of TV eyeballs are.

The numbers looked better than I would have predicted. They obviously beat us....but before the game started it probably didn't look like a great matchup with TCU being a small private school below .500.
