Sochan is basically the blueprint for what Pop would put together if he could engineer a player in a lab. Tireless motor, scraps for days, hounding defensively, multiple offensively, won't blow the doors off the stat sheet but will have numbers in almost every relevant category.

If you look at Kawhi's first three seasons in SA, it's essentially what I think Sochan will be there for the next few statistically. The question is whether he can take the next step to become elite after he establishes. Or whether Pop retires first.

In 10 minutes he managed 3 boards, an assist, a block and got to the line once, which shows you how all-action he is. But his shot selection has been poor in his first few games and it will cost him minutes until he's more judicious about when and where he puts up shots.

He can be a 15+ppg guy as a rookie, he just needs to be smarter. After all, he's officially been a pro for all of two weeks.

I don't think superstar, but I think will be an elite glue guy. A Draymond Green type player who can do a bit of everything, elite passer who can board and defend.

Draymond Green will be in the HOF. That's a superstar IMO.

I have significant travel with my job/work so I try to schedule overnight in cities where I can catch any Baylor athlete playing at the Pro level (NFL, MLB, NBA, WNBA, etc.) and I'll say that Sochan is real special. I would strongly encourage any Sochan fan to catch a game of him this year - - - fun to watch...

Draymond Green will be in the HOF. That's a superstar IMO.
Draymond Green is not a superstar player.

He's only a "star" player because he had the blessing of being able to play with Klay Thompson, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant.

If he played for the OKC Thunder he would just be Mikal Bridges or some other no name player that makes the all defensive team.
