Fardaws Aimaq is a huge addition for the Red Raiders. They have been waiting for him to get over an injury all season and our bigs will have their hands full with him spelling Batcho Hopefully he's not 100% yet.
Sic Em Bears!!.

Agreed 100%. Historically Lubbock has always been a tough road venue. Right up there with Ames.

He's got some moves and can face the basket and score

Bears by 8. I don't think Tech has the offensive firepower to beat us.

They look much better with Fardaws. He opens somethings up for them. One thing I did notice glancing at stats it would appear they shoot the 3 ball well. Probably my biggest concern. Oh well, hopefully your right and the Bears take care of business.

Tech is a mediocre offensive team, but they have lost 4 of 5 conference games by single digits. Further, winning in Lubbock is hard.

The Bacho/Aimaq vs Thamba/Ojianwuna battle will be a huge factor in this one, but I think George and Flagler really get the offense going and pull out a decisive win

This conference is wild. Tech and WVU can't win a game, but they play everyone close. And Kansas can't lose despite playing one one-possession game after another. There's not much separating the top from the bottom, except for the records. Haha.

When you have a conference where the quality range of the teams is good to great, you're going to have some good to great teams with a lot of losses.

True, but based on the competitiveness of the games, you'd expect more parity in the records.

I hope we come out and realize how HUGE this game is to Tech..huge to keep their fanbase engaged..huge to keep pressure off Adams job security...and most importantly a statement win to give them a chance to make the tournament as they have no Quad 1 wins and a terrible non conference.

Tech's bigs > Baylor's bigs. I think tech wins this one at home. Hope I'm wrong!

This is true, but so is Baylor's guards > Techs guards. Batcho hasn't been himself lately and as good as Fardaws is it's still only his 2nd game of the year. Doubt he plays big minutes. If we can control those 2 and get big games from Cryer and Bridges I like our chances. The first 8 will be huge as Techs going to come out fired up. Their season is essentially on the line

It's a good thing college basketball is a guard's game. No teams in the sport had better bigs than Kentucky and Illinois last year. We know how their seasons ended.

We may well lose, but this is an odd reason to suspect we will.

Mark Adams gives off strong "lesbian WBB coach" vibes. Impressive he could pull multiple women, but I guess some ladies are into that sort of thing.

Still in Hilton watching ISU vs Texas but it looks like we played a solid first 20! Up 8 at the break. Keep the foot on the petal fellas. 20 more minutes and out of Lubbock back at .500 in league play

Guards look like our guards a few years ago. Good ball movement and quality shots.

Excellent new! I had a hunch Cryer might have a big game. Seems to ring true so far. Hopefully the D can put the clamps down and we can widen this gap

Yep - somehow the switch got flipped a couple of games or so ago and he's now looking like the player he was expected to be.
