Since like a lot of the rest of you I participated in roasting Bridges for his early season failures (even started a thread about it) I thought it only fair to start one about lauding him for the 180 he did starting with the road game at WVU. He's been a consistent performer since, has hit multiple big time shots (finally found his 3 point shot again) and clutch free throws, is a solid rebounder, generally performs well on the defensive end, and has settled into his role on the team. It's been great to see him turn it around and become the player he was expected to be when he transferred.

Also, our D which again many of us railed about, has clearly been better since the start of the current win streak. We still aren't consistent with our man D, but at least it has clearly improved beyond the absolute joke it was before. Mixing in zone as a change up, which a lot of us wanted to see, has helped also (it really helped against Arky in the 2nd half as one example). We still aren't a great defensive team and likely aren't going to become one the rest of the season, but we've at least at a minimum been adequate enough lately on that end lately to keep putting up W's.

The zone in the second half was a big part of our come back. They never really came up with a consistent attack plan against it.

The fast break points given up have been greatly reduced. It will be interesting to see what we do vs TCU next time.

It's funny because the commentators yesterday were expecting zone from BU and kept noting that ARK was good at breaking the zone, and then when we starting playing it ARK could not break it and it changed the direction of the game

If they don't have Miles and Lampkin (especially Miles) we'll be facing a different TCU team. They still might beat us, but I doubt they'll be repeatedly doing layup drills on the offensive end like the 2nd half in Waco.

the early fouls on Bridges kept the game closer than it needed to be. He is starting to play great.

Jalen has become one of my favorite players -- and one of the two or three most valuable players on this team.

That dude deserves a ton of credit for fighting through some early adversity to become exactly the player our team needs him to be.

I almost wonder if his early shooting woes weren't a good thing because they forced him to find other ways to contribute. He had become a great hustle/glue player before he started finding his jump shot again. I wonder if he would have gotten to that point if he had started the season shooting well from the perimeter.
