Best I have seen since the national championship season.
They tried to trap us early and were successful. Drew made a great adjustment, spread the team out, said move the ball and WVU was running around while we got open shots.
Well said. The one on one with forced shots also leads to a lower shooting percentage which also exposes our transition defense. We are getting much better in our half court D, and it sure is nice to have an opportunity to get set after a made shot.bear2be2 said:
When we move the ball and it doesn't stick with one of our guards in a bad iso possession, our offense is virtually unstoppable.
Isolation and the pick-and-roll game are a big part of what we do, but we're at our best when we're driving to dish and making the extra pass, rather than going one on two or three and settling for an out-of-control drive or step-back 3.
If you look at our best offensive games compared to our worst, the tale is almost always told in our ratio of assists to made buckets. If that ratio's high -- and it usually is -- we're going to be very difficult to stop. If it's not, we're likely going to be stuck trying to grit out an ugly win.
