Being a walk on is greatโ€ฆ court side seats to every game. You gotta be a huge fan of the game more than a huge talent. Yonk is like the Rudy of Baylor bball.

The emotion from the bench is great. But not a fan of them overdoing it. Comes across as a bit unclassy. We are a program known for great basketball, we don't need gimmicks.

Every time we hit a 3 on that end I glance over to see what he will do. I think it's hilarious and love it.

This is how a couple of dudes (not on scholarship) who sacrifice a lot of time for this team want to have fun. Knock yourselves out. You have plenty to celebrate.

I think some guys can come across as unclassy, but I don't think he does. Maybe it's just cause it's my team, idk. But he makes me smile, just comes across as unpretentious, silly fun. If he was coming onto the floor, or doing something rude/arrogant/unsportsmanlike that would be something else entirely.

He's obviously enjoying himself immensely & the officials appear to be ok with it. Also, looks like he's boosting the team energy. What's not to like?

He's part of the TEAM. Works his tail off to have his spot on the end of the bench. I've got a feeling his teammates and coaches love him.

Most of it was ok and fun. I'm just saying to be careful and don't overdo it.

For example, where he collapsed to the floor, and someone pretended to give him CPR.....yikes, Gotta show a little more awareness than that.

Truth be told, if a TCU player did that, all of you would be skewering him for it. We're actually lucky we haven't been skewered by a media yet. I just want other fan bases to respect us for our basketball and our professionalism and class with which we win. I don't want to come across as goofy and classless.

Sports History is full of players showing love for the game.

It's not a 'gimmick', it's passion and an important part of the game.

That stunt goes back to when I was in college. It's meant to show excitement and amazement.

It doesn't attack anyone, it doesn't mock anyone.

I can think of a lot of other things done by athletes which are less wholesome.

Wanting excitement and fun on the bench vs goofy, insensitive and unprofessional is not snowflakery. Its caring about the image of the program which is really good right now, and wanting to keep that going. But yes, you are correct, the snowflakes are predominantly on the left.
