We do it because if the opposing team misses 1 free throws in a row, students get a free cupcake coupon at magnolia bakery. They sponsor it and Baylor gets a paycheck for the deal plus us students get a chance to get something for free. And it's hilarious when they miss the first then make the second and we yell at them about how we would share with them if they would ****ing miss!!!

No one watching at home has any idea what the cupcakes are for. I used to think we were calling the opposing team a cupcake.

Maybe it's a clever local marketing ploy by Magnolia, but it would be better to have Baylor signs etc in the crowd than cupcakes.

inguess you don't watch any other games on tv then? Almost every student section holds up signs that aren't the school logo/similar. We also have other signs including faces of players and Drew along with the signs/posters students bring themselves.

This is a complete non-issue. And calling the other team cupcakes is about the nicest thing you will hear from us. We talk trasb to the opposing team all game long like every other student section in the country. Including pulling stuff from their social media pages. #10 for wvu didn't exactly love that we knew he was the only player on their team without a valentine this year. Cupcakes is mild lol
