All 1 seeds gone. Can't get much easier for them.

This is the grittiest team Texas has had in a long time.Quinton said:
I agree with you. I always am hesitant on Texas bc they are just missing.. something every year. This is their best team in years but I don't know if their D can grind out Miami but they have a better shot than Houston did.
While I think Houston was overrated.. any team that has 3 guards that can drive, pass, and shoot is extremely dangerous at the college level. Those three guards weren't quite to our 21' team but they are the closest since. They outclassed Uh's guards and their "big" was surprisingly physical and ruled the paint. Texas is just more battle tested than Hou so they won't be overwhelmed as easily.
100%. I thought they were really good but after the coaching situation I didn't think they would recover. But they galvanized and made it work. This will probably be the most competitive final stretch of the tourney in recent memory. Still probably favor Texas to advance to the FF but I wouldn't be comfortable betting on it.bear2be2 said:This is the grittiest team Texas has had in a long time.Quinton said:

They have a lot of blue collar veteran guys on that team, which has been unusual for Texas in the recent past.
They almost have to give Terry the job at this point, right?Quinton said:100%. I thought they were really good but after the coaching situation I didn't think they would recover. The way they are playing at this point I don't see them losing. Defense has been stifling. They're probably going to win it all. That's going to be a bitter pill to swallow. Miami… maybe, fingers crossed.
We were never good enough to navigate any route that far.BluesBear said:
Could have been an easy route for Baylor as well....

easier than normal when the top teams drop.bear2be2 said:
There's no such thing as an easy road to the finals.
Nah. Creighton's good but if it wasn't them, someone else would have taken us out with our defense this year.BluesBear said:

An offense that is singulary based on 2 v 4 is always going to be streaky.Oldbear83 said:Nah. Creighton's good but if it wasn't them, someone else would have taken us out with our defense this year.BluesBear said:

We could have made the Elite 8 but we really needed more to go further, even this season.

I claim to know little about basketball other than 2 point or 3 point buckets and crappy refs like HIggens but....
was this the worst seeded NCAA tournament ever from top to bottom?

Like I said… Miami had the guards to go toe to toe with Texas. Elite guard play wins in March
