All 1 seeds gone. Can't get much easier for them.

Yep. Will actually be a good game btw them and UCONN in the semis. They're the two teams that have zero doubt wire to wire in all 3 rounds.

They do? Winner of Uconn / Gonzaga is really really good and probably the favorite to win it all. But Texas can win it all for sure and is right there. Just won't be easy. The "easy" game might be the final itself for the team that makes it there from the Midwest/West.

Y'all sleeping on Miami… again. They have the guards to go toe to toe with Texas

I agree with you. I always am hesitant on Texas bc they are just missing.. something every year. This is their best team in years but I don't know if their D can grind out Miami but they have a better shot than Houston did.

While I think Houston was overrated.. any team that has 3 guards that can drive, pass, and shoot is extremely dangerous at the college level. Those three guards weren't quite to our 21' team but they are the closest since. They outclassed Uh's guards and their "big" was surprisingly physical and ruled the paint. Texas is just more battle tested than Hou so they won't be overwhelmed as easily.

There's no such thing as an easy road to the finals.

This is the grittiest team Texas has had in a long time.

They have a lot of blue collar veteran guys on that team, which has been unusual for Texas in the recent past.

Disu availability will be key for them.

100%. I thought they were really good but after the coaching situation I didn't think they would recover. But they galvanized and made it work. This will probably be the most competitive final stretch of the tourney in recent memory. Still probably favor Texas to advance to the FF but I wouldn't be comfortable betting on it.

They almost have to give Terry the job at this point, right?

The way they are playing at this point I don't see them losing. Defense has been stifling. They're probably going to win it all. That's going to be a bitter pill to swallow. Miami… maybe, fingers crossed.

Could have been an easy route for Baylor as well....

We were never good enough to navigate any route that far.

This team just didn't have that ceiling.

It could beat good teams in one game, but it never had any prayer of stacking four or five straight wins against good teams.

It's the obvious & intelligent thing to do. But we are talking about Texas. So who knows?

I don't get the Texas is the fav talk at all. Miami is more than capable. And UConn is the best team left by a good margin. Doesn't mean they'll win it but they have to be the fav. Hell gonzaga might beat them tonight. But my $$ would be on UConn

It's turning out to be the most poorly seeded tournament in memory. The usual B1G bias was evident again this season with all but one school eliminated on the first weekend.....such an embarrassment of a league.

Texas is living up to their hype. Hopefully K-State will emerge on the opposite side of the bracket to make it a 3-peat for the XII.

I'm good with KSU getting it done because of Tang and it would be three in a row for the B12. Really don't won't to see the traitors at UT take it and I hope they don't even get to the Final Four.

Nah. Creighton's good but if it wasn't them, someone else would have taken us out with our defense this year.

We could have made the Elite 8 but we really needed more to go further, even this season.

An offense that is singulary based on 2 v 4 is always going to be streaky.

We had the easiest path to get to the E 8 of anyone and we coached ourselves out of the tournament.

I claim to know little about basketball other than 2 point or 3 point buckets and crappy refs like HIggens but....
was this the worst seeded NCAA tournament ever from top to bottom?

Maybe it's true parity. It would really be great if it's the case, the Tournament would be great every year.

Never count out the Horns when it comes to underwhelming.

This is honestly the best possible outcome for us. They didn't go far enough to actually win anything, and yet they went far enough that they almost have to hire Terry, who is a pretty mediocre coach, historically. This just puts them on the treadmill of "meh" for enough time to get the the hell out of our lives. Good riddance.
