One of those matchup mysteries that defies explanation. On paper you'd think there is no way Flo would be a matchup nightmare for Timme and yet he is.

Still plenty of time, but UConn is man handling the Zags. Somewhat expected this. Think UConn is easily the best team left

Agree, but Gonzaga was the worst team in the Elite 8, by far.

This game is so reminiscent of Baylor 2021.

Feel vindicated. Thought UConn was clearly the best team from early November. They didn't need Bama or Houston to lose.. they would have completely rolled either team.

They can lose to Texas but when they're locked in nobody is close… maybe healthy Ucla who doesn't exist anymore. I know I know but Miami… will be a good one with Tex

So, seriously, what does Gonzaga does with Timme next year? What does Timme do with his basketball future?

I know, it's obvious I think the guy is a self important *****. Who flexes with arms like his when he dunks on Portland State? His sneer has been a decade in the making.

But, what does this guy do? What does Few do with him?

NBA? Uh, no! Euro ball? Maybe, but could his inflated ego deal with it?

Gonzaga again? If I'm Few and I have a goal of winning conference I'd happily have him back. If I want to move forward….not so much.

I heard one of the CBS guys talking on a radio show. He said that Timme had told him "there's no way I'm coming back next year." He was very clear that he was headed to the NBA. Now, that and $5 will get you a cup of coffee, but that's what the dude said.

If I'm Few I'd love to have him back, he's hard to replace even though he's one of the most overrated guys of all time. There's also no reason another better big man couldn't be on the court with him, which is what Few should be seeking.

But I'd relish the opportunity to see Timme lose in another March madness.

Glad I picked them to win it all in my bracket. Unfortunately, I had them beating Arizona in the final.

Honest question: What do UConn and San Diego have this year that has made their seasons so successful and what did Baylor have in 2020 and 2021 that set them apart and led to a NC?

Of course, defense. But lots of teams play good defense.

Physicality, on top of skill. Alabama this year was incredibly physical. They lacked maturity and skill. Bully ball will only get you so far. Ask Iowa State.

Baylor this year had good, high quality guys. Men you'd like to have as neighbors. Quality players and coaches.

To me, they missed the Mark Vital ingredient. They missed some one or preferably ones who could instill a bit of fear in an opponent.

I'm old, but when I played ball many years ago, there was always the guy on an opposing team (if we worried about that team) who we couldn't stand, but who gave us just a little bit of fear.

I'm not suggesting Baylor recruit thugs, but we need to find a few guys who will knock someone on their backside and glare.

He comes back for his 8th year. Gets paid more by staying than going. How many basket weaving programs they have there?

Weird seeing new Florida Atlantic football coach Tom Herman in stands ..that would be weird if they face Texas..

That's not surprising. San Diego State is a much better, more physical defensive team than we were. You play the entire game uncomfortable against them.

San Diego State is pretty ugly on offense, though. If they lose this one, it will be because they can't score.

They were hideous from three in the 1st rd against NCState too.

I think they are just regressing back to their mean. Unfortunately we got them when they couldn't miss.
