Amidst LJ announcing his transfer and Key going to the draft, the one name of note we have yet to hear anything from is Adam Flagler.

I'm extremely curious what to make of this so far. I had kind of chalked up Flag as a no-doubt departure after the year - he's won everything there is to win as a Bear. But as time wears on and domino pieces fall around him, I'm wondering. The transfer window snaps shut on May 12, so he has time, but I'm wondering with both LJ/Key leaving if he sees himself running it back one more time. I know MM did the last-year-somewhere-else thing, but I don't know what he'd get at another program he wouldn't get here next year. He'd be the BMOC in 23-24.

The other option is the NBA of course, which is where I thought he'd test the waters, but I'm not so sure he's sold yet. NBA Draft Room has him as the #24 SG in the '23 class, and the #89 overall prospect, which would leave him well outside draft range. Most mocks agree in that vicinity. They're just mocks, but at best he's a fringe late-second rounder. He'd most likely have to hit the G-League as a UDFA and hope to work up that way.

To be sure, I'd be shocked if Flag runs it back one more year - there are too many factors that indicate he's gone. But every day without news, I wonder if there's a sliver of hope he returns. We'll see soon enough.

With Bonner transferring now as well, getting Adam back would be HUGE

I've been thinking along these lines as well. Heck, probably we all have. Maybe he will come thinking he will have a chance at another natty, or at least a B12 title. The latter is more likely.

What's another Big 12 title mean to him now at his age? How old is he now?

No one enjoyed their 4 years at Baylor more than me..and I graduated at 20 yrs old..but I was ready to get the hell out of school and start making money..

I would assume he's the same..

Skipped first grade..I tell couples who are having baby boys don't have them skip grades .puts you at a physical disadvantage in sports later..I was pretty good baseball player as kid and in high school..All State in high school..Pitch Hit and Run champion in Dallas region .

Get to Baylor as a 16 yr old and attend a couple Mickey Sullivan practices..I was competing against 19-22 yr old men so my baseball career ended that day.

100% agree. And if it is a late spring or summer birthday, start em a year late - gives em a big advantage...not just in sports either.

Staff
If he stayed it would give him a chance to play more point guard another year and don't forget about NIL.

I do agree what does he have left to accomplish here but as a fan I want him to stay. He is a great leader and I would trust him to take the last shot.

Good points...but his career objective is to be an orthopedic surgeon so I would assume he wants to cash in now on his pro career now whether it be Europe or somewhere else..

We didn't do this with my son who was born in early August and I kind of wish we had.

Academically, he's among the tops in his class, but he will be at a disadvantage from a physical development standpoint. I don't think his ceiling is super high athletically, so it won't be that big a deal. But it will probably suck the next couple of years while he's playing catch-up with his peers.
