Have we heard anything about how next year's conference schedule will shake out? Guessing we'll play 20 games which would mean round robins with all but three teams (14 teams next year).

The double round robin going bye bye is a shame. That was an epic era.

I will definitely miss the double round robin. I think it may be one reason the Big 12 is the best conference in the country, despite not having a team in the Final Four this year.

I don't see us having the double RR going forward even after the traitors depart. 11 teams is still too many since we are unlikely to have 22 conference games each year. The schedule is already brutal. One possible upside is that 3 of the new MBB teams do not seem to be in the same level (2-3 of the existing members are questionable) & so some games won't be quite as tough as Kansas, Texas & Baylor were this year. Naturally, appearances can be misleading as upsets occur every year.

Still 18 games with rivalry matchups played twice. Example: Baylor -TCU...OU-OSU... Kansas-KState..West Virginia -Cincinnati.

The other 3 games will be filled out on a rotating basis.

Whoever made the decision to dispense with thd double round robin had no choice. There is only a certain amount of time available for conference games & that time is pretty much filled up with the 18 games we've had in the past.

We do gain one game with the loss of the Big 12-SEC challenge. It's too bad. That was always an interesting game to look forward to, both MBB & WBB. Maybe Yormarck will replace it with a different one: Big 10, Pac 10, or even ACC would be worthwhile. So far as I know we still have the Big East challenge.
