SOURCES: Baylor Finalizing Matchup with Duke at Madison Square Garden
According to Jon Rothstein and multiple other sources, the Baylor Men’s Basketball team is finalizing an agreement with the Duke Blue Devils to face off in a neutral site matchup. The contest will take place at Madison Square Garden on December 20th.
Baylor ended the season at No. 19 in the final top 25 rankings after its 85-76 loss to Creighton in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Duke finished at No. 18 in the final top 25 after losing in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against Tennessee 65-52.
Most preseason rankings have Duke inside the top 5 but at worst the Blue Devils are looking like a preseason top 10 team heading into the summer. Baylor, on the other hand, is still filling out its roster and waiting for draft decisions which is why most have the Bears as a fringe top-25 preseason team currently.
