In the interview conducted by Ashley Hodge with RayJ Dennis, they discussed various topics related to his experience at Baylor University as a point guard. RayJ Dennis expressed his positive impressions of Texas, despite the hot weather.

He mentioned that the level of competition at Baylor has been great, with opportunities to play against talented players like Davion Mitchell, Macio Teague, Mark Vital, and Devonte Bandoo. Dennis described Davion Mitchell as an exceptional defender and shared how competing against him has been a valuable learning experience. Mitchell has been supportive and helpful, answering questions and allowing Dennis to observe his workouts.

They also touched on the chemistry with his new teammates, highlighting Jayden Nunn, a junior with whom Dennis shares connections from Michigan. Dennis aims to foster strong team cohesion and connectivity, recognizing that successful teams have a strong bond. While he hasn't spent much time with Miro, another teammate, due to his presence in Finland, Dennis expressed his willingness to mentor and help his teammates whenever possible.

In terms of pre-existing connections, Dennis played against Caleb Lohner when Caleb was at BYU and Dennis was at Boise State. They discussed Jayden's reputation as a great defender, and Dennis praised his energy and contagious competitive spirit.

Regarding his own game, Dennis acknowledged that being an efficient offensive player, he sometimes had to choose his spots on defense. However, he wants to improve his defensive skills and become an all-league-level defender, which he believes would be beneficial for his future in the NBA. On the offensive side, he mentioned his focus on improving his three-point shooting and aiming to become a 50/40/90 player (shooting at least 50% from the field, 40% from three-point range, and 90% from the free-throw line).

Dennis shared positive impressions of Baylor, mentioning the supportive coaches and teammates who have made the transition smooth and enjoyable. The team has engaged in team bonding activities, including visits to coaches' houses. They also discussed their upcoming trip to France and their excitement about experiencing a new country.

Dennis mentioned his interest in sports dramas and revealed that he enjoys competitive activities like bowling. He played football as a quarterback in his earlier years, which he believes prepared him well for playing point guard. While he doesn't engage in outdoor activities like fishing, he does have a decent collection of basketball shoes, with Kobes and Paul Georges being his favorites.

Finally, Dennis acknowledged his parents as his primary mentors, with his father being a significant influence on and off the basketball court. He values the guidance and support they have provided throughout his journey.
