What is the full story behind the student section at basketball being told to 'tone it down' or be ejected? Who is directing this edict?

Sounds like gossip with minimal substance if any.

It's an idiotic idea: the teams want the fans their making lots of noise. This should never be a problem unless they start acting like morons, as some fan bases do.

After the WBB game, one of the players thanked the students for being there. And they were loud!

It was a single guard and supervisor who took things too far.

David Kaye came on the board and said it was being taken care of.

There were no complaints after the double header and clearly the students were booing and jawing.

That's not too shocking. Baylor has always had a few random security people who are a tad overboard.

Also not shocking that the football board made a big deal out of nothing.
