We get constantly beaten so easily off the dribble it's embarrassing.
Students aren't back on campus for another week. That'll make a big difference.historian said:
The fans seem less engaged than I expected. It's probably because of the opponent. Hopefully, it will be significantly better with Big 12 games.

"It's a nice arena. Gets loud. Sort of what a kid dreams of when they play high-level basketball."

Luckily, there are no more 11-day layoffs the rest of the way.
He also thinks Drew is a poor coach on defense.
Mark Vital and a few others would disagree.
And IowaBear will likely find some way to blame Scott Drew for those as well.Fre3dombear said:Oldbear83 said:Iowa thinks gaps in play and practice don't matter, I guess.Mitch Henessey said:

Doesn't other team have same similar worse layoffs occasionally?

Yes, it is way too easy to score against Baylor. It's going to be a problem.IowaBear said:
You're the only one on here who thinks I'm ungrateful simply for saying Drew needs to improve THIS teams defense. You keep moving goalposts and using straw man arguments.
No where have I mentioned past teams. Anyone with a brain knows CSD is a great coach. And no where did I say he wasn't. I said he needs to improve this years teams Defense! Quit putting words into my mouth. If anyones trying to sound important on here right now it's you.
There's like 10 posters on this thread saying defensive coaching needs improving. I'm not a lone in my OPINION
Thank you so much for coming back BaylorFam to be here for opening night!!!💯 @Wainright24 @IsaiahAustin https://t.co/pPTZRGu0FH

Game threads are horrible, and this was the worst of the worst. The first half of the thread was solely about the camera angle and the second half was pretty much nothing but criticizing Drew's coaching (with a lot of personal insults directed to anyone who disagreed).Crawfoso1973 said:
Just now seeing this game thread, what in the world is going on here with all the personal attacks?!
My .02. I thought Cornell was a very tough opponent. Physically tough team who punched us right in the mouth, and we still took care of business. In particular very high quality guard play. There's a reason MM teams like this are capable of pulling off upsets in March Madness. But reading this thread it seems a few posters grossly disrespect Cornell as a quality opponent and think we should have blown them out by 60. Cornell was no pushover team. OK on to the next one.
I read the whole thread. It's past time for you to give it a rest.IowaBear said:
Saying Drew needs to fix the D is critical of his coaching? Personal attacks began by OldBear. Not me. Read the entire thread. It's a unanimous thought that the defense has to better that's not some diss at Drew

So in the end, despite the Christmas layoff, only two practices on the new floor before the game, and the incessant whining of IowaBear, the Bears win by more than the spread.
Some of ya'll probably should not watch the conference season. You soil your panties now, Lord only knows how you will handle our games against Kansas or Houston.
Huge thank you to @BUDREW and @BaylorMBB for allowing me to be a part of the opening night of the Foster Pavilion…a moment I’ll never forget! pic.twitter.com/rkwXVaKMfc
