We got a lot of points driving. Nice to know we can do it if 3s aren't falling.

Walter clutch free throws like no problem

Needed this one bad on the road against a B12 bottom feeder.

i'm not sure i've seen a worse half by this team in many, many years. absolutely no rhythm.

We are playing hard just can't get shots to fall. It happens.
This. I'm not even discouraged. Typically, when this team has struggled, it's been due to poor defense or turnovers. We did a pretty good job in both areas today. We just couldn't buy an outside shot. When you can shoot the way we just did and still win a Big 12 road game, you take that happily and move on.

Headed home with a W! Definitely makes the drive back easier. Wasn't pretty but 1-0 is all that matters

GREAT PLAY JA KOBE!!!!!!!!
Walter made two huge plays down the stretch and then hit a couple of pressure free throws to put us in position for the win.

He struggled for most of the game, but I'm proud of the way he stayed engaged on the glass and the defensive end.

In other news…the camera angle didn't seem to be an issue today. Maybe they can fix it at Foster?

I got Baylor -4.5 on Bovada. That dunk at the buzzer made me some $ today! (Whew!!)

Winning when you don't play well. And on the road in B12. We got some positives out of this game. Scrapped and won.
Take it and move on to the next one.

Good job Bears. We never apologize for a road win in college basketball...especially in the B12.

Agree, except what I've seen with Nunn. The Auburn game threw me off. Was nice role guy, secondary ball handler, and showed really good flashes of D.

Every other high D1 level matchup has seen him struggle really badly. Either this was a talent miss or something is off. Being big 12 contenders was based on Nunn giving good D, toughness, athleticism, & situational scoring. Just hasn't happened.

Need a change and then coach him up off the bench

The Pokes always seem to play their best against Baylor no matter how good we are & how bad they are. Even in 2021, when we lost only 2 games: Kansas & OSU.

I said this earlier in the thread, but I think it's time to start Miro.

Let Miro begin halves and keep Love in his 6th man role where he is thriving. Miro has been improving each time out and is another skilled ballhandler who could take the pressure of off Dennis with the starting unit. Miro is not a great defender but we wouldn't lose much defensively either. Miro is experienced playing overseas with grown men and will not be intimidated with a larger role. Miro is a high-upside, talented player who will get better when given more experience and opportunity.

I think we have seen a large enough sample size to understand that Nunn is what he is. Nunn gives me Dale Bonner vibes....a guy with high character, who hustles, tries hard, but who has too many holes in his game. The talent is lacking to be starting or playing a major role on a team with national championship aspirations. He should be the second or third guard off the bench and getting minutes similar to what Miro is getting now.

Just my honest opinion, not trying to get anyone mad or think I'm insulting Nunn.

For a guy that I thought was touted to be a defensive specialist, thus far Nunn's been a disappointment to say the least. Seems way too easy for any decent or better opposing guard to blow by him and routinely get to the rim. Other than occasional brief streaks, he isn't much on the offensive end either. I agree Miro deserves more minutes as per what brief opportunities he's had to play, I've liked what I've seen.

That and extends Love's minutes and continue to coach up Love on D. Little has a great energy to him. Would not mind him getting more run.

It's really strange. He's a decent athlete but just lacks footwork and instincts right now. Positional awareness just isn't there either. Has a decent burst but is always getting beat. Sometimes guys are decent straight line athletes but lack lateral ability.

Would have to sit down and watch a lot of prior games to get a better idea (probably won't). I can't quite pinpoint it but every semi talented team outside of Auburn has been a struggle

Defense can always be better. We still played well and if we had shot our average, we would have won by 15 and no one would be saying our defense should have been better.

Let me put it another way: for a team with championship aspirations, the defense should be a lot better. It might have improved somewhat since Michigan State & Duke but I don't know if it's good enough to beat Kansas & Texas both of which we will play twice. We also have to beat Houston once & BYU twice.

Right now I don't expect us to win in Lawrence when we go there in a month. I certainly hope they can improve significantly and prove me wrong.

BYU, Colo St, and Clemson all lost...so we may move up a few spots. Although Clemson's loss was to #8 UNC
